Testimonials

Chris Tomkins

Andy has been an invaluable tutor and mentor in the time I have known him. His extensive knowledge of the craft and deep sensitivity has helped me grow tenfold as an actor.

I have been offered a place to train at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama this year, which would not have been possible without Andy’s wisdom and ultimately how much he truly cares about helping his students be the best actors they can be. Thank you Andy!”

Charlotte Davey

Andy is such an inspiring acting teacher.

His knowledge about the industry and acting is extremely comforting as a student. I cannot thank Andy enough for all he has taught me, as I certainly would not be a Mountview alumni without his direction.

Freddie and Jo Toogood

I found working with Andy a very positive experience. He was so enthusiastic and he really helped me understand how to project my voice and get into the character I was playing. He was calm and patient, and I am sure my self-confidence came from this.  He was such a pleasure to work with. I had a lot of fun too!

My son worked with Andy on a Drama scholarship for Blundells School. He was incredibly professional and I had every confidence that Andy was able to bring out the best in Freddie. With his help, my son was successful in gaining the top available award for drama. This was only possible with the help and advice Andy gave.

Emmerson and Lisa Herbert

When I  worked with My Cryer we studied Macbeth breaking down everything into sections going into great detail about the character I was portraying . I leant about the importance of staying in character, how to carry myself, how to remain focused and how to learn my lines in a way that suited my unconventional style. He was really nice and incredibly helpful.

It was Emmerson's greatest ambition to apply for a drama scholarship at her secondary school but we were struggling to know how best to prepare her. Andy was recommended by the Deputy Head and he immediately began working on all aspects of the discipline from acting through to stage craft and presence not simply line recital. More importantly we could see the confidence he instilled in her. The day she was awarded her scholarship to Clifton College was one of our proudest moments ever.
